Madison County is located in northeast Georgia. It was created on 5th December 1811 by an act of the state legislature and is the thirty-eighth county in Georgia. It was named after James Madison, the current president of the United States at the time of its creation. Madison County’s total population was 30,120 as per the 2020 U.S. census.
