Moreover, the county got its name from General Benjamin Lincoln, a revolutionary war hero who was known after receiving the Cornwallis sword in Yorktown, Virginia. As per the 2010 census, the county has a population of 7996 people.
The US Census Bureau states that Lincoln County covers a space of 257 square miles (670 square kilometers), with 210 square miles (540 square kilometers) covered by land and 47 square miles (120 square kilometers) covered by water. County Inmate Search
As per the freedom of information act, all public affiliations must make public information available. This data includes inmate information except for juvenile offenders. For one to get details on juvenile inmates under the age of 18, they must visit the department of juvenile justice. Note that only suitable people can access details of juvenile offenders. This includes their families, attorneys, and victims of the inmate. Moreover, some law enhancement officials working on the offenders’ cases have access to their details.
To find an inmate, one can log into the Georgia Department of corrections website and perform an inmate search. There, one can find all inmates held all over the state. The department asks interested individuals to contact them at 404-656-4661 or visit the department’s offices at 300 patrol road Forsyth, 31029, Georgia. Alternatively, they can visit the state offender lookup tool found on the department’s website.
Finding an inmate in a County Jail
To find an offender held in a Lincoln County detention facility, one can visit the county sheriff’s website or visit their offices. If one already knows where their offender is imprisoned, for this case, the Lincoln County jail, they can log into the individual jail’s official website and search on the inmate roster. Alternatively, they can contact the prison administration on the contact number provided on their website for instructions.
The first step of searching an offender is entering their names on the questionnaire provided in the inmate search section. Upon entering the first or last name, a list of all inmates bearing the same initials would appear. An individual may also add extra specifying details, for instance, the offender’s age, race, and gender, among others. Information often found in the inmate’s profile includes their dates of arrest, booking charges, court dates, and sentences. Moreover, one may get information on whether their offender is suitable for probation from their profiles.
Searching by ID or Case Number
Apart from the specifying details listed above, one may perform an inmate search using the prisoner’s case number or their Georgia Department of Corrections identification number (GDC ID). A GDC ID is a figure that each inmate gets upon admission into a Georgia state detention facility. Since this number cannot be shared by multiple offenders, using it to perform an inmate search would enable one to get specific results. On the other hand, a case number is a figure the judicial system assigns to a particular case. Similar to the GDC ID, a case number generates specific results, and so it is an efficient way of performing an inmate search.
