FCSO maintains Franklin County Detention Center located at 1 James Little Street PO Box 310 Carnesville, Georgia 30521, US. The facility is a medium-security level institution for pretrial inmates. Nonetheless, the jail houses low misdemeanor inmates with less than a one-year sentence and offers a reentry program for state offenders. All offenders denied bail or unable to pay bail are brought here until they can receive sentencing.

With 150 beds, this facility has an average of 95 bookings a month. The jail maintains an online inmate roster accessible to the public and searchable by offender name. You can find the offender’s full name, date of birth, residence, race, ID number, case number, document type, booking date, charges, court date, case event, division, and court role in each inmate’s record.

However, if you cannot find the inmate’s name on the list, you can contact the jail by phone at 706-384-2525 to speak with the administration directly to find out if a prisoner you know is housed there. This is because, at times, the inmate is in the facility, but the administration has not updated the jail roster yet, or the inmate has not completed the booking process.

Moreover, you can visit the jail in person and request a Franklin county inmate search.

Sexual Offenders Registry

the FCSO Sex Offender Registration and Tracking (SORT) department deals with issues regarding registered sex offenders and sexual predators who live and work in Franklin County. Those found guilty of a specific crime must register with the sheriff’s office in the county where they live or work. You can utilize the Sexual Offenders at Georgia’s Bureau of Investigation Search Tool to locate an offender if they are a sex offender within the county.

GA VINELink

GA VINELink is a national victim resource that is free to all victims of crime, and you can register with FCSO to receive updates on your offender in jail. This includes transfers, release dates, early release, death, and disciplinary records.

Georgia Statewide Inmate Search

This is the last place to visit if you cannot locate your inmate using the above methods. The GA statewide inmate search database has information on all lawbreakers in federal, state, and county jails and community supervision throughout Georgia. The database is searchable by offender name.
