Douglas County Inmate Search

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office maintains a minimum-medium detention facility that incarcerates individuals from all over the county and neighboring communities. The facility presently accommodates 740+ prisoners on a daily average. This prison population consists of county and state-sentenced convicts and pretrial inmates. The jail division now employs 84 deputies and trained prison officers.

Nonetheless, most inmates in the facility are individuals awaiting trial. They have been brought by local police departments and law enforcement agencies after they cannot pay bail or are denied by the court.

The law mandates the jail administration to keep the community updated on the individuals under their custody. They ensure this by maintaining an online jail roster with all the information of all convicts in the facility.

How to find someone incarcerated in Douglas County

If you want to perform an inmate search in Douglas County, the county detention jail roster is your first destination. The jail roster is searchable by the first and last name of the offender you seek to find. It is effortless as it is grouped by inmate’s name, date of incarceration, sex, gender, and race.

These distinctions make it very effective and consume less time visiting all pages. Instead, you must find the initials indicating your inmate’s first or last name. Then you can select the offender’s name. The next page will show the inmate’s mugshot, date of birth, arrest records, physical description, tattoos, and personal information.

What if the offender’s name is not on the inmate roster?

Their names might not appear on the log on many occasions, especially during inmate transfers or release. Sometimes it’s because they have not yet arrived at the jail or have not yet completed their booking process in the lobby. In that case, you can call the jail’s administration at 678-486-1273 or 770-920-4917 to inform them of the individual you seek to find. You can also give out specific information about the inmate, such as their name, physical description, race, and sex. Giving out as much information as possible eases the search process.

You can also visit the Douglas County Jail sheriff’s office to seek the whereabouts of the individual you are looking for.

Using the Sex Offender Registry

You can also utilize the sex offender registry maintained locally by the sheriff’s office to search if the individual is a sex offender. The registry is searchable by name and geographical location, or contact the office.
