Dodge County is located in Georgia’s central region, and was established on October 26, 1870, during the state Reconstruction. The state legislature combined portions of Montgomery, Pulaski, and Telfair counties to create Dodge County. It was named after William E. Dodge by the Republican-controlled legislature. Responsibilities and Duties of the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office
