The City of Springfield will hold public hearings the requested Rezoning of Parcels numbered S109-45, S109-47, & S109-48 from R-2 zoning designation to R-3 zoning designation.
The Planning and Zoning Board Public Hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 6th, 2017 at 6:00pm, with the Planning & Zoning Board Meeting to follow.
The City Council public hearing will be held on Tuesday, June 13th, 2017 at 6:00pm, with the Council Meeting to follow.

REQUEST FOR STATEMENT OF QUALIFICATIONS
The City of Springfield is accepting sealed Statement of Qualifications from experienced General Contractors for design and construction services for the renovation/addition of the Springfield Fire Station Headquarters.
The contractor is to be responsible for the design and construction of the facility in accordance with the information provided in the Request for Qualifications “RFQ” and shall comply with all applicable ordinances, laws and codes governing the construction or permitted use of the facility.
Sealed RFQs will be received at Springfield City Hall, 130 S. Laurel Street, Post Office Box 1, Springfield, GA 31329, until 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017.
RFQs received after the deadline will be rejected and returned unopened.
RFQs submitted as a result of this invitation must be returned in a sealed envelope or container marked “Sealed RFQ: Springfield Fire Station Headquarters”. RFQs may be mailed or hand delivered and will be received by the following:

There will be no Pre-Bid Conference. Any questions that may arise from this invitation should be submitted in writing to Brett Bennett, City Manager – Post Office Box 1 Springfield, GA 31329 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org no later than June 21, 2017. It shall be the respondent’s responsibility to seek clarification as early as possible prior to this deadline. Any discussions or documents pertaining to questions asked will be considered non-binding unless incorporated and promulgated in an addendum.
Bidding documents will become available Wednesday, May 3, 2017 and can be obtained by any interested parties at the Springfield City Hall, 130 S. Laurel Street, Springfield, GA 31329 or by emailing a request to Amber Lancaster, Finance Director at email@example.com. All interested parties shall register with the City of Springfield when obtaining bid documents so they may remain informed regarding any addendums that may be issued.
A non-collusion affidavit must be completed and submitted prior to a contract award.
The City of Springfield reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive technicalities and/or informalities and make the award in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to add to or delete from the contract after the contract has been awarded.
